What Sparkler does

Couples set up their wedding on Sparkler and share a QR code or link with their guests. Guests upload photos and videos from their phones, and our software edits them into films and a photo album that the couple can watch, download and share. The films are made by software, so each one is different and depends on the footage guests provide.

Accounts

• Couples must be at least 18 and give a working email address. You are responsible for anything done with your sign-in links, so keep your email account secure.
• Guests don’t need an account. Anyone with your wedding’s link or code can upload to it, so share it with the people you want to.

Price and payment

Sparkler costs $249 per wedding, paid once at checkout, unless a different price or discount is shown at the time you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe. There are no subscriptions or hidden fees. Prices include everything described on the site for that wedding. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Your photos and videos

• You keep ownership. The couple and guests own what they upload. The finished films and album belong to the couple to keep, download and share however they like, including on social media.
• The permission you give us. You allow us to store, copy, analyse, edit and show your uploads only as needed to run Sparkler for your wedding: making films, reels and the album, showing them to the people you share them with, and keeping backups. We will not use them for advertising or our own marketing without asking you first.
• Music. Films use music from Sparkler’s own library. You may keep and share films with that music for personal use. You may not take the music out of a film and use it on its own.

What you can’t upload

Please only upload content you have the right to share. You agree not to upload or use Sparkler for anything that:

• is illegal, sexually explicit, or shows anyone (especially a child) in a way they would not agree to;
• harasses, threatens or invades someone’s privacy;
• infringes someone else’s copyright or other rights; or
• tries to break, overload or misuse the service.

Couples are responsible for letting their guests know that photos and videos uploaded to their wedding will be used to make films and an album that the couple can share. Couples can hide or delete anything uploaded to their wedding, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. If you think something on Sparkler infringes your rights, email hello@sparklerfilms.com with the link and details and we will act quickly.

Our promise, and its limits

We work hard to deliver beautiful films on time, and our send-off guarantee refunds you if we don’t. Beyond the promises on this site and in the Refund Policy, Sparkler is provided “as is”: we can’t promise any particular footage will be used, that the service will never be interrupted, or that the films will match a professional videographer’s. The quality of the films depends on what guests capture. Please download anything you want to keep forever.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim about Sparkler is limited to the amount you paid us for the wedding concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be waived.

Ending things

You can stop using Sparkler at any time and ask us to delete your wedding (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut Sparkler down, we will give couples at least 60 days’ notice to download their films and photos.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, please email us first; most problems are fixed quickly that way. These terms are governed by the laws of the state where Sparkler is based, and any dispute will be handled in its courts, except that either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Sparkler grows. If a change matters, we will update the date at the top and email couples with active accounts before it takes effect. The terms that applied when you paid continue to apply to that wedding’s purchase.
